Rodrigo García Olza

Actor, director, and playwright. In 2012, he co-founded the NIGREDO theater company alongside playwright Albert Tola.

He has starred in theater productions such as El Palmeral by Albert Tola, premiered at Teatre Akadèmia in Barcelona; Los niños oscuros de Morelia by Albert Tola, premiered at Teatre Tantarantana in Barcelona; Odisea by Roland Schimmelpfennig, premiered at Naves Matadero in Madrid; Mantequilla by Carlos Zamarriego; Niño fósil by Albert Tola (Atic 22, Teatre Tantarantana, Barcelona); Rómulo el magnífico by Pedro Muñoz and Luisant Rodriguez (Teatro Quevedo, Madrid); and Cocinando con Elisa by Lucía Laragione (Teatre Modern, Barcelona).

He has also directed creative pieces and workshops such as El Palmeral by Albert Tola (Teatre Akadèmia, Barcelona and Sala BBK, Bilbao), El tercer rostro (DAU al sec, Barcelona), Figura de rojo interior gris (DAU al sec, Barcelona), Laguna memoria (Teatre Tantarantana/Iberescena, Bacelona), De noche todas las pieles son azules (Teatre Tantarantana/Festival Internacional Grec, Bacelona), Enola and Dafne (Teatre Tantarantana, Bacelona), Zelesta (Teatre Tantarantana, Bacelona),Vino lunar Albert Tola (Àtic22, Teatre Tantarantana, Bacelona), Sueño de una noche de verano by William Shakespeare (La Mínima Espacio escenico, Madrid), La paz perpetual by Juan Mayorga (Teatro Nueve Norte, Madrid) or Fuso negro by Eva Hibernia (La Minimum Stage Space, Madrid).

As a teacher and stage director he has collaborated with the Devoradores school, Menudo Cuadro, Fundación 26 de Diciembre and El Umbral de Primavera in Madrid, and with the Tantarantana Teatre, the Festival Grec, Espai Philae and Aules in Barcelona.

It is currently part of the former Rivas Cherif Laboratory of the National Dramatic Center, now Drama Professionals.
