Teatro y Consciencia© Level 1
The analytical and rational knowledge dominates our efforts to understand ourselves. However, any path towards self-knowledge requires an honest and deep immersion into a dimension that is unfortunately often overlooked: the non-linguistic wisdom of the body. After all, emotions, intuitions, and the deepest truths of ourselves reside beyond rational thought. We must find a way to reach them. At Espai Philae, we propose theater as a means to embark on this journey.
Because artistic language is the language of the unconscious. It is the language of the soul. Through it, we gain access to perspectives and problem-solving tools that are much more creative and innovative. Through it, we discover alternative paths towards our true selves. Wisdom about ourselves is not obtained solely through logical knowledge. It requires emotional knowledge. And theater, an art that encompasses everything, is extraordinarily effective in reaching and integrating that wisdom.
But our Teatro y Consciencia© course offers a different theatrical experience. El Método Sabaté®, which serves as its foundation, includes exercises from the performing arts such as body awareness, creating inner monologues, improvisations, and scene work. But it also incorporates tools from various other disciplines such as coaching techniques, neuro-linguistic programming, Gestalt therapy, and active listening. After all, it is theater in service of inner growth.
