1.General Rules
Attendance
Attending classes for the courses you have enrolled in is fundamental and mandatory. The training at Espai Philae is professional and implies a commitment that starts with not missing sessions. Students are responsible for being aware of the attendance rules in the specific training they are participating in. In case of any exceptional circumstances due to force majeure, it is also the student’s responsibility to inform the Academic Coordinator (Anna Masides) with sufficient notice. The absence of a group member may cause specific changes in the session.
Punctuality
For a smooth individual and group process, punctuality is absolutely mandatory. It signifies respect towards personal and fellow colleagues’ processes. Being present and prepared to work at the exact time the class begins is crucial. In case of emergencies, it’s necessary to notify the group assistant or the Academic Coordinator well in advance before the class starts.
Attire
All activities at the school must be carried out wearing tracksuits or leggings and without shoes. Shoes should be left at the entrance of the premises.
2. Student Regulations
Professionalism
Students must behave professionally towards each and every participant in the training, including faculty members and Philae coordination. This involves respectful treatment even in the event of disagreements and/or irreconcilable differences of character or discussion topics.
Ethics
Attitudes or behaviours leading to physical or verbal violence are strictly prohibited. Any situation escalating to physical or verbal attacks towards any student and/or teacher at Philae or towards the school itself will lead to immediate expulsion and may be reported.
Device Usage
The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during classes. They must remain switched off with alarms deactivated.
Admission Rights
Anna Sabaté, the director of Espai Philae, reserves the right to admit or expel each student. In the case of expulsion from the training due to absences, lack of punctuality, and/or inappropriate behaviour within the established protocols (Ethics, Device Usage), as well as in case of withdrawal by the participant once the training has commenced, the course fee, which must have been fully paid, will not be refunded.
Health Information
To attend the scheduled courses at Espai Philae, it is required to be in good physical and mental health. In some cases, attendance of medical professionals and/or therapists may be recommended to ensure students have proper support and follow-up in their educational process.
Course Termination
Once the classes for any of the scheduled courses have commenced, the decision of a student to abandon the course will not warrant any total or partial reimbursement of the paid amount. In case there are pending payments, they must be settled to cover the entire course fee.
3. Professional Practice
Safety Framework
The exercise of professional duties by those teaching in Teatro y Consciencia© implies recognition of ethical and pedagogical responsibility towards students. The educational activities they carry out should be conducted within an appropriate safety framework. Teatro y Consciencia© trainers must conduct their practices within the limits of their training.
Confidentiality
Faculty members must safeguard the confidentiality of the students and what occurs in the classes.
Communications
Communications with students, as well as the delivery of pre-class work material, will be handled through the Academic Coordinator Anna Masides (Anni).
Image Rights
Always seek permission from each student before taking photographs and/or making other types of recordings. The school will have previously requested written permission from each student.
Inclusion and Diversity
Be aware and respectful of the cultural background and individuality of the people you work with, including their customs and different norms, encompassing those based on age, gender identity, race, ethnicity, culture, origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, language, and socio-economic status. Trainers should strive to avoid any biases in their work sessions in this regard.
Ethics
Faculty members must carry out their profession competently and based on the personal and professional ethics proposed by the ethical code, refraining from any conduct that may be detrimental to the profession and students.
